When I was a child I loved the songs written by Charlotte Diamond and even went to one of her concerts. This week I went to Long & McQuade and picked up her book called “Charlotte Diamonds Musical Treasures”.
Charlotte Diamond graduated from UBC with a bachelors of education, notice on the cover it says a songbook with activities for teacher’s and Families. Charlotte also had a background in Biology and many of her songs are educational, such as a song titled “Metamorphosis”.
I am learning the song “I am a Pizza” from this book. Two chords are new for me in this song, G7 and Dm.
The book also translates some songs to French and Spanish!
Because the book is designed for teachers, there are also activities to go along with the songs!
